Biography
Kunle Adegoke, an indigene of Olorunda Local Government, Osogbo, was born on September 5, 1969. He is a Notary Public and Senior Advocate of Nigeria who had his LLB and LLM Degrees from the prestigious University of Lagos. He is a strong voice in defence of human rights and good governance. He began legal practice with the distinguished law firm of Olaniwun Ajayi LP sequel to which he went into a thriving partnership in the law firm of M. A. Banire & Associates. He is currently the Principal Partner, Kunle Adegoke & Co. As a strong litigation lawyer whose services in election petitions and other areas of civil and criminal litigation are well sought after, he has acquired many laurels to his name as reflected in many law reports. He has led in more than 50 election petitions and partaken in most notable ones across Nigeria including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar v. Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar v. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Gregory Obi v. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023 among many others. Kunle Adegoke became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2020. His versatility has shown him to be a good commercial law expert, a capital market solicitor, a tax consultant and a seasoned arbitrator. He has represented many governments and their agencies in public infrastructural financing like the Osun State 60 Billion Naira Bond and the more recent Lagos State 100 Billion Naira Bond. He is counsel to many banks, corporate entities, Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and currently represents the Federal Government of Nigeria in the on-going arbitration on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway rehabilitation dispute. He is also counsel to a West African country in an ICSID arbitration while he has led in many arbitral proceedings involving oil and gas disputes. He is a good legal draughtsman whose services have benefited a number of private individuals, corporate bodies and government entities in Nigeria and beyond. He combines the practice of law with the acumen of a businessman in his capacity as the Chairman of Yellowstone Services Limited, (a company specializing in marine operations); Chairman of both Western Dairies Limited and Mofe Emporium Limited. Mr. Adegoke is a prolific writer whose writings have graced the pages of many Nigerian newspapers and legal journals as well as being a regular public analyst. He is a prominent member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Section of the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. A quiet philanthropist to whom many owe their academic and professional successes, Kunle Adegoke is also a progressive politician who contested Osun State governorship primary elections in 2018 and 2026 under the platform of All Progressives Congress. He is one of the few politicians with no baggage, no backdoor deals just clean records and clear plans. According to him, "leadership is not about noise. It's about results." He is married with children.
