Biography
Kazeem is a highly qualified cybersecurity and digital transformation expert with an impressive academic foundation. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Ibadan, alongside a Master of Information Science and an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutics from the same institution. He is also currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity (Critical Infrastructure) at Capitol Technology University, USA. His credentials are bolstered by prestigious certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society and an active member of several global professional bodies, including ISACA, PMI, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Kazeem possesses over two decades of extensive international experience, having successfully managed complex projects across Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, the Philippines, the USA, Canada, and several other countries. His core competencies span the protection of Critical Information Infrastructure, Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance, Enterprise Data Management, and Digital Financial Services strategy. He has served as a key consultant to major national and international institutions, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Bank, the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Nigeria, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Among his most significant achievements, Kazeem led the development and implementation of Nigeria's National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy and was the Lead Consultant for the establishment of the NCC Computer Security Incident Response Team (NCC-CSIRT). He has played a pivotal role in Nigeria's digital finance landscape, serving as the Program Manager for the eNaira and as a consultant on the NAMBUIT project for microfinance banks. His work as a Digital Financial Services Expert with organizations like Frankfurt School and Microsave Consulting has involved re-engineering critical banking processes across Africa and Asia, and he has also led major national projects like the Nigerian National ID card initiative with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
