Profile of KAMORU AYODELE ADELEKE ADIGUN, Ph.d, FCA, FCNA, FCTI, MCIoD Dr. Kamoru Ayodele Adeleke Adigun is a distinguished professional, accomplished entrepreneur, and respected leader in the fields of accountancy, taxation, and corporate governance. He was born on 31 October 1963 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, to the family of Imam Gb adamosi Ola Adigun and Alhaja Houmani Olagbenjo Adigun of Oke-Baale, Osogbo, Osun State. Dr. Adigun possesses a strong academic foundation. He obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He further earned a Master's degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Ibadan and a Master's degree in International Marketing from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Entrepreneurship from Atlantic International University, Honolulu, United States of America. A consummate professional, Dr. Adigun is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He is also a member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) and the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD), among other reputable professional bodies. Dr. Adigun has made significant contributions to the development of taxation practice and policy both in Nigeria and across West Africa. He served the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria in various capacities and rose to the esteemed position of the 8th President and Chairman of Council. During his tenure, he demonstrated exemplary leadership and courage in defending the Institute's charter before the National Assembly in 2008. His pivotal role in advancing regional cooperation in taxation contributed to the establishment of the West African Union of Tax Institutes (WAUTI). In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of the profession beyond Nigeria, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship (FCIT) by the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana. Dr. Adigun commenced his professional career with the Nigerian Agricultural and Co-operative Bank during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and was subsequently retained by the institution. He later joined Messrs Sulaimon & Co. (Chartered Accountants), an affiliate of Nexia International, where he completed his professional training and rose to the position of Audit Manager. In 1994, he established Ayodele Adigun & Co. (Chartered Accountants), which, through strategic growth and professional excellence, evolved into Adigun, Idris, Bala & Co. (Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners), a firm noted for its integrity and technical competence. Beyond professional practice, Dr. Adigun has demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial acumen through the co-founding and leadership of several successful enterprises across diverse sectors of the Nigerian economy. These include Universal Natural Beverages Limited (Bottlers of Paradise Water), Jos, where he served as the Founding Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer; Oxygen Manufacturing Company Limited, Kaduna, where he served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer; Air Re Nigeria Limited (Manufacturers of Industrial Medical Gases), Suleja, Nigeria where he serves as Executive Chairman; Malade Farms Limited, Suleja, Nigeria where he serves as Chairman; Nutrimax Nigeria Limited (Livestocks Feed Millers), where he serves as Chairman; and Danaglobe International Limited (Hospital Equipment and Supplies), where he also serves as Chairman. Dr. Adigun serves on the board of several notable companies, including NNPC Retail Limited (NRL) Togo SA (formerly OVH Energy Marketing Togo SA), Advancelink Petroleum Limited, and Emirate Consulting Limited. He is also an active member of the National Council of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Abuja/Nasarawa/Niger Branch of the Association. A man of strong moral conviction and faith, Dr. Adigun is a devout Muslim and a committed member of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
