I'm Surrounded by Passionate Members - OIC President
Alhaji Abiola Abioye reflects on the responsibility of pioneering the club, sustaining member bonds, and preparing for the 2025 colloquium.

In the past two months, President of Osun Intercontinental Club, Alhaji Abiola Abioye, and his team endured sleepless nights over the club's fourth colloquium and end-of-year party scheduled for December 28 in Osogbo.
In an interview with TheTabloid.net, the Fellow Chartered Accountant shared his experience in the club's topmost seat and the responsibilities attached to the office.
The journey so far as pioneer president is very challenging but profoundly rewarding, marked by a blend of excitement, responsibility, anxiety, and a deep sense of fulfilment.
It was not easy creating the structure, processes, and acceptable rules and regulations, but I am surrounded and supported by passionate members.
Sustaining the existing bond among members has been systematic. It takes a deliberate, continuous, consistent, and multi-faceted approach focused on fostering a strong sense of belonging, unity, and inclusiveness.
It also requires encouraging member-to-member connections, valuing member contributions, ensuring effective communication and feedback, and maintaining regular one-to-one relationships that recognize the uniqueness and importance of every member.
The 2025 colloquium is the club's fourth annual colloquium and comes before the official inauguration of the club in 2026.
This year's colloquium is designed to be rich in intellectual delivery of ideas and very explosive in terms of fun, excitement, and entertainment for members and invited guests.
The club has a very strong foundation because it had practically been in existence for the past five years before it was properly structured this year.
We are focused on building a resilient, dynamic, and reputable club that is mutually beneficial to members and the community at large. The future is very bright and rewarding.
I sincerely thank all members who have fulfilled their financial obligations to the club for their confidence in me and the team.
I am delighted to tell them they have made the best decision as we are taking their club to the most prestigious and enviable level. To prospective members, the best time to join was yesterday and the next best time is now, as the entry requirement for the club will become stricter in the new year.
